  government regulations

  environmental organizations

  individuals

(20140125NA  T1: What can we do to reduce air pollution? Give examples and details in your answer.)

personally speaking, I think the government is one of the most important elements in protecting the environment since the regulations carried out will influence all the aspects of the society on a large scale, and people tend to observe the regulations rather than neglecting them. For example, since the "traffic restrictions based on the last digit on a license plate" has been carried out, the deterioration of air pollution is generally controlled in Beijing, a city which suffers from air pollution for years. Also, the resources that government has, for example, money and human labor, also can act as a guarantee to implement such regulations.

t2 do you agree or disagree with the following statement "we should learn the history of the place we live in"?

I totally disagree with the statement that "we should learn the history of the place we live in". First of all, we generally don't live in one city all our live, I mean, knowing the history of a city makes sense only when we stay at the place, but when we move from place to place, to another city even county to study or settle down, the history might not be useful for us anymore. So, there is no need for us to learn it. Second, the history of a city, for example, the number of the celebrities who once lived in the city, how the city took its shape, etc, is not as learning worthy as high technology.

  T3

  Reading

Close dining hall during spring break

  R1:Not enough students on campus

R2:Existed restaurants and grocery stores (not so inconvenient)

  Listening

  Man disagrees

R1:suggests opening the dining hall only one hour for each meal and offering smaller menu to cut down costs

R2:students are working on big assignments, a waste of time to leave campus& buy& cook

  t4 nudge marketing

后来在cart上圏出了一块绿色的空间写着fruits and vegetables, 人们就觉得should fill in it。

2 在downtown找工作,但是bus are limited, waste time waiting for the bus

  1.

Animals help to carry to distant area

No competition for resources with parent plant

  e.g. Birds carry seeds

  2.

Waiting for better climate to survive

e.g. desert plants wait for heavy rains for getting enough water to survive
